We’re building a web-based simulation platform and are in search of a freelance front-end developer who can take ownership of the technical build, focusing on performance, clarity, and security. You’ll work closely with a data analyst and simulation designer to implement task-based modules that challenge users to clean data, write SQL queries, and interpret business metrics.
This is a lean stack project with no bloat. You’ll also help wire up auto-grading logic and interactive components like charts, tables, and draggable elements.
What You'll Do
Build lightweight, responsive simulations in JavaScript (framework optional).
Implement interactive UI components.
Power in-browser database interactions.
Connect to JSON-based services or APIs
Participate in weekly remote check-ins and give feedback across disciplines.
Ideal Candidate
4+ years in front-end or full-stack development.
Strong skills in native JS, DOM manipulation, and browser APIs.
Experience with structured data, client-side security, and modular UIs.
Familiar with SQL, gamified UX, or data visualization libraries like Chart.js/D3.
Bonus points if you have a passion for teaching, bootcamps, or helping learners succeed. Ability to balance developer UX with beginner user clarity, and familiarity with AI APIs (OpenAI, Claude) is also a huge plus.
