Rental Department Shop Helper Custodian at Ziegler

Ziegler CAT has an opening for a Custodian. This person helps keep the warehouse in top condition by maintaining the cleanliness of the warehouse by emptying garbage recycling cardboard sweeping and scrubbing floors cleaning counter tops and windows. Keeping contamination control at a high level is critical for this position.Responsibilities:Maintain organized rows and stacks of cardboard bales and empty palletsEmpty garbage cans in the warehouseRecycle all of the cardboard in the warehouseSweep and scrub floors ensuring all floors are clearClean countertops and windowsClean up spills which may include hazardous materials like battery acid and oilCall waste company when compactor is fullWork in a cooperative manner with teamReplace squeegee and brushes on floor scrubberSafety operate the forkliftQualifications:High School Diploma / GED required2 years related experienceAbility to follow written and verbal instructions for the purpose of safety proceduresEffective written and verbal communication skillsBasic computer skillsAble to work independentlyAble to operate forkliftAble to operate required equipment safely (forklifts floor scrubbers and other cleaning equipment)Minor mechanical abilityPersonal Attributes: Commitment/Dependability Planning and Organization Attention to Detail EfficiencyThis role is deemed safety-sensitive and will be subject to a drug test as a pre-employment requirementMinimum Physical Requirements:Push/pull up to 25 lbsLift/carry up to 50 lbsLift bulky objectsStanding walking using hands neck rotation trunk rotation stair climbing ladder climbing repetitive bending kneeling sustained squat forward reaching overhead reaching fingering/grasping - able to use a bolt box.Working conditions are primarily indoor. Pay range may vary by 10% depending upon the applicants location.
