JOB DESCRIPTION
Description:
The Drexel Way:
The Mission:
Defining the Role:

We don’t just sell lumber; we Supply. Happiness. Drexel is Team Member-owned and community-driven. With six retail hubs and three manufacturing plants across Wisconsin, we’ve been a Top Workplace every year since 2011. Why? Because we hire for heart and train for skill. When you join Team Blue, you aren't just a team member—you’re an owner.
The Replenishment Specialist serves as the engine of our yard's efficiency. Your primary objective is to ensure that our forward-picking locations are always stocked. By working proactively rather than reactively, you enable our Order Pickers to work without interruption, directly driving our yard velocity and customer fulfillment.
- Proactive Replenishment: Proactively replenish all primary picking locations from backstock or overstock based on reports or walk-throughs.
- Inventory Control: Manage proper stock rotation (FIFO), consolidate partial units, and perform regular cycle counts and location audits.
- Returns Processing: Handle all material coming back into inventory from job sites, which includes stock returns, special order returns, and returns brought by customers.
- Unloading Drivers: Unload returns from delivery trucks to ensure quick turnarounds for the Fleet team.
- Liquidation/Toss Management: Process items that are not returned to the vendor (toss items) and actively manage the liquidation pile in coordination with the Inventory team.
- Racking/Product Moves: Facilitate small product moves or racking changes, which includes executing the physical moves, making ERP updates, creating labels, and communicating properly to the team.
- Yard Organization: Maintain overall yard cleanliness and safety standards.
Your performance is measured by your direct impact on yard velocity and keeping the Order Pickers moving. The workload driver is a function of total yard velocity, which is a combination of inbound PO lines and outbound sales lines.
- Picker Downtime: Measured by how often pickers wait for a location to be filled; the target is near zero.
- Inventory Accuracy Rate: Maintaining high accuracy during cycle counts and bin audits.
- Yard Organization & Safety Audit Scores: Ensuring the yard is clean, safe, and easily navigable.
The Wealth-Builder (Ownership)
- ESOP Shares: We don’t just work here; we own the place. You’ll earn a real stake in the company’s success.
- Profit Sharing: When Drexel wins, our team wins.
- 401k: A solid foundation for your long-term retirement goals.
Health & Well-Being
- Comprehensive Coverage: Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance to keep you and your family "weather-proof."
- Fitness Reimbursements: Annual funds dedicated to your physical health and family activities.
- Employee Assistance Program (EAP): Confidential support when life gets complex.
Life & Legacy
- Immediate Paid Time Off: Start with Holiday and Vacation pay from day one.
- Scholarship Program: We’re invested in the next generation—educational support for the children of our team members.
- Annual Charity Match: We’ll double your impact on the causes you care about most.
The "Drexel" Lifestyle
- Birthday PTO: A paid day off to celebrate you.
- Product Discounts: Special pricing on the high-quality materials we sell.
- Plus More: A constant stream of "fun little perks" that make the yard a great place to be.
