Your role as a Representative Inside Sales:You will be primarily responsible for making outbound phone calls to fans and local businesses while using keen customer service skills in an effort to set up customer appointments at Petco Park to reach sales goals.All the responsibilities we will trust you with: Reports daily to the Manager Inside SalesMakes 75 telephone sales calls per shift from provided lead lists and active prospecting to set up face to face appointments at Petco ParkProvides top-notch customer service to callers from our main ticket line as well as maximizes sales from this sourceUtilizes CRM for contact management sales pipeline tracking and ensure all record keeping is timely and accurateRepresents the Padres in the most positive way on game days when interacting with clients and prospects at Padres sales tables or at their seatsAdditional responsibilities as assigned by the Manager Inside SalesYour areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most: Represent a strong desire to start a career with a team that has ample opportunity for growthMust possess a strong commitment to the sports industry a passion for sales a strong work ethic competitiveness a positive team first attitude and a thirst to learnBe a self-starter and be comfortable making cold callsProficient computer skills including experience with MS Office products such as Word Excel Outlook etc. and general knowledge of basic office equipment including copier laser printer telephone and computerPossess strong communication skills both written and verbal and effectively work well with others in a collaborative respectful mannerExceptional time management and organizational skills with capacity to handle high volumes of detailed work multi-task and manage projects on strict deadlinesMaintain professional demeanor with a high degree of discretion integrity and accountabilityMaintain consistent punctual and reliable attendanceYou will be required to meet the following:Must be at least 18 years of age by the start of employment4-year Bachelors Degree or education equivalentAble to work flexible hours including evenings weekends holidays and extended hours as neededFluently bilingual in English/Spanish a plusAble to travel as neededMinimum physical requirements: able to travel to and gain access to various areas of the ballpark for prolonged periods of time during games and events; able to lift and transport up to 25 poundsAs a condition of employment you must successfully complete all post-offer pre-employment requirements including but not limited to a background checkPay and additional compensation:Per the California pay transparency law the base hourly rate for this full-time position is $21.06. This position is also eligible for a commission plan if goals are achieved. As a candidate for this position your pay and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience education job-related skills and any other factors the San Diego Padres considers relevant to the hiring decision for this position.In addition to the base pay the Padres believe in providing a very competitive and generous compensation and benefits package for its employees.
