Job Title :Research Assistant (Undergraduate/Graduate)Position Type:StudentDivision:Academic AffairsDepartment:Engineering Job Description:ResponsibilitiesExperimental Design & Setup: Assist in the design, construction, and testing of an experimental apparatus.Simulation & Modeling: Run computational simulations to replicate and analyze experimental results.Software Development: Contribute to the development of software tools for sensitivity analysis and data processing.Documentation & Reporting: Prepare technical reports summarizing results, methods, and progress.Dissemination of Results: Support the preparation of posters and presentations, with opportunities to present findings at national conferences.Required Qualifications:QualificationsEnrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.Strong interest in experimental methods, numerical modeling, and/or software development.Basic proficiency in programming (Python, MATLAB, or similar) preferred.Familiarity with engineering simulation tools (ANSYS, COMSOL, etc.) is a plus, but not required.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Salary:$14.49 Undergraduate / $20 GraduateEEO Statement:All qualified applicants will be considered for employment without regard to sex, race, color, national origin, religion, age, disability, protected veteran status, or genetic information.
