Job Description
The Department of Systems Pharmacology and Translational Therapeutics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for a Research Associate position in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree. Responsibilities may include performing laboratory research on T cell responses in tissues during infection cancer and autoimmunity. Additional responsibilities will include: training graduate students and new postdoctoral fellows in the models used in the lab; leading team science for key lab-wide experiments and projects; providing guidance to our lab manager on overall lab organization; overseeing selected lab training and group meetings (such as our skills sessions and/or career development panels).The successful applicant will have an opportunity to help supervise laboratory technicians postdoctoral fellows and graduate students in an academic setting coordinate team science and help develop lab programmatic activities.
