This position bridges the gap between research teams IT services and institutional leadership ensuring that complex datasets and research outputs are transformed into actionable insights that advance scholarly work and strategic decision-making. This candidate will be aligned to our research administration applications that streamline the complex lifecycle of academic research from compliance to funding. These applications help universities and research institutions manage grants ethics approvals reporting and collaboration more efficiently. You will provide product applications implementation and support for our research administration applications that provide its users features such as grants management compliance oversight workflow automation scalability data integrity and collaboration tools.RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides hand off support between the business and technical resources in application installation and maintenance.Ensures appropriate integration across an application suite.Ensures appropriate change management procedures are followed by all application teams.Works closely with application technical support to ensure appropriate tools are developed and technical issues are resolved.Uses established fact-finding procedures knowledge of pertinent processes and procedures and in depth understanding of programming practices and software to provide required technical analysis of user problems.Identifies isolates and solves complex application programming and technical problems within production clinical and business systems.Provides production support in a 7 X 24 Tier 1 environment.Provides consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top-level contributor/specialist. Act as a mentor and provide leadership to all levels of Application Solution Analysts.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:While it would be ideal to find a candidate possessing experience with Insight Research Administration System other Research Administration applications experience such as Huron Research Suite OnCore Cayuse Kuali InfoEd Global ERA Commons will be appropriate experience.MINIMUM QUALIFICIATIONS: Bachelors degree in computer science or related field and seven years experience in application systems/administration OR nine years application systems/administration experience without a degree.Must be proficient in three or more programming languages and/or application systems implemented in production.Positions in this classification may require a knowledge of one or more programming languages and/or a knowledge of applications programming.Based on established hospital/department/unit standards employees may not perform all duties listed in this job description.
