If you thrive in collaborative environments enjoy solving complex challenges and want to contribute to a more sustainable energy future we invite you to join us in powering good for generations to come.How Youll Make an ImpactPropose contribute to and lead R&D projects in power systems and related fields.Collaborate with a global team to identify and solve real-world challenges for our customers.Propose and work on novel ideas and concepts for the next generation of power systems.Network in the company and actively distribute your knowledge and expertise.Collaborate with external partners including universities startups and vendors.Disseminate your results in scientific publications patent applications and technical reports.Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations procedures and guidelines.Your BackgroundPh.D. degree in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Power Systems.Deep understanding of power system dynamics and associated control mechanisms.Fluency in English both written and spoken.Fluency in common programming languages like Python or CCandidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.(Experience preferred at least one of the following):Experience with monitoring and control technologies like SCADA EMS or substation automation.Experience implementing and evaluating early-stage control concepts (e.g. simulation HIL)Proficiency in power system simulation platform like PSS/E Power Factory PSCAD/Opal-RT MATLABKnowledge of transmission or distribution control room operationsTechno-economic analysis and optimizationKnowledge of microservice architecture and utility communication protocolsKnowledge of Energy Market operationsExperience with microgrids and active distribution systemsMore About UsWe pride ourselves on offering a holistic range of competitive benefits to support your financial physical and mental wellbeing and personal development.
