He or she also performs testing on new raw materials. The Research Technician may provide any necessary technical support to various other addition he or she is responsible for any other task their primary supervising chemist or Research and Development Lab Manager deems necessary.This is a first shift position (Monday through Friday7:00am - 3:30pm) in an air conditioned state of the art overtime may be role will work with several highly skilled chemist and technicians to serve our internal and external customers.EssentialFunctions:Produce and test sample batchesMaintain records of product developmentPrepare test data and samples for product submissions.Test new supplies of raw materialsMaintain raw material records and submit SDS for samples.Provide technical support for plant trialsSubmit new gages to Quality Assurance for initiation of calibration recordsPerform yearly testing and maintain records as requiredMay be responsible for handling hazardous wasteAdhere to safe work practices with chemicals and process equipmentMaintain organization and clean work environmentResearch Technician metric: TCIR rateSkills/ CompetenciesGood communication skillsExcellent organizational skillsStrong analytical and interpersonal skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook).Trained in techniques described in Research & Development Laboratory Personnel Training RecordsEducation:High School DiplomaExperience:No experience required internal training is providedStarting Wage:$19.00 per hour base rateWorkEnvironment:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a team member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
