DescriptionJob DescriptionThe Siciliano lab from the Department of Pharmacology at Vanderbilt University is seeking a self-motivated Research Assistant I. Our lab research focuses on addiction and sensory neuroscience using cutting-edge technology to trace neural sensory tracts in combination with immunohistochemistry optogenetics in vivo fiber photometry and behavioral pharmacology in rodents. The individual hired for this position will be directly supervised by PI Siciliano and expected to assist with experiments.Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist with mouse colonies management (experience with rodent colony management preferred) Experience with rodent behavior is preferredExperience with programmable microprocessors is a plus Assist senior lab members in maintaining laboratory inventories and ensuring proper record-keeping Prepare reagents and other laboratory materials as needed Take initiative in delivering accurate results on time Collaborate and respond effectively to team needs Communicate clearly with lab members to ensure smooth workflowSelf-motivation with a strong sense of personal responsibility and accountability is necessaryQualificationsBachelors Degree requiredRequired Experience:IC Key Skills Laboratory Experience,Spss,Data Collection,DNA Isolation,Stata,Biochemistry,Qualitative Research Interviewing,Research Experience,Statistical Software,Molecular Biology,Research Laboratory Experience,Western Blot Employment Type : Full-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
