Join PEER Consultants, P.C., a nationally recognized engineering and environmental firm known for its commitment to innovation, integrity, and inclusion.Were seeking a Resident Inspector / Field Engineer to support municipal and infrastructure projects across multiple disciplines from water and wastewater systems to transportation, utilities, and environmental restoration. In this role, youll be a key on-the-ground contributor ensuring projects are built to the highest standards of quality, safety, and client satisfaction.What Youll DoServe as an on-site engineering representative for public infrastructure projects.Conduct site visits, inspections, and project documentation, including materials, labor, and compliance records.Participate in client and contractor meetings, providing technical insight and ensuring alignment with design intent and regulatory requirements.Perform engineering analyses, field evaluations, and environmental documentation, using the latest tools and software.Review contractor test results, payment applications, and permit compliance documentation.Collaborate closely with project managers, clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to keep projects on track and within scope.Support business development efforts, identifying opportunities and assisting with proposal preparation.What You BringBachelors degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Masters preferred).4+ years of relevant field or engineering experience, ideally with underground pipelines, water/wastewater systems, or infrastructure construction.Working knowledge of construction inspection practices, technical reporting, and QA/QC procedures.Proficiency with digital tools used in field engineering and project tracking (tablets, Microsoft Office, CAD a plus).Excellent communication skills able to engage clients, write reports, and collaborate effectively across teams.A valid drivers license and access to a personal vehicle.OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety certification plus.PE or CCM certification a plus; EITs encouraged to apply.What We OfferCompetitive salary ($85,000 - $135,000)Comprehensive health and insurance benefits401(k) retirement planCareer development and mentorshipThe opportunity to work on impactful, community-driven projects alongside industry leadersWhy PEER?At PEER Consultants, we dont just manage projects we build legacies.
