St. Louis Children's Hospital has a unique opportunity for a Resident Physical Therapist to work with our Young Athlete Center and MLS.  You will be working in the training room and field coverage for STL City academy.  Weekend and Evening coverage needed.

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Provides Skilled physical therapy services to patients including all aspects of evaluation and treatment. The 12-month program provides post-professional clinical, didactic and other educational opportunities while also practicing as a provider of patient care services within the specialty area.

 

Responsibilities

  • Completes documentation in accordance with departmental policies.
  • Provides assessment, reassessment, and /or consultations for physical therapy services and based on this assessment establishes treatment plan and provides treatment, considering discharge needs, expected discharge functional status and appropriate equipment and supplies.
  • Participates in clinical mentoring and research experiences through working with St. Louis Children’s Hospital Sports Physical Therapy residency mentors and staff. Participates in weekly education sessions to enhance knowledge of sports medicine.
  • Participates in sports medicine training with local community partners and provides rehabilitation services on site under the supervision of the athletic trainer or physical therapist on site.
  • BJC has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.
