Job DescriptionJob DescriptionRESIDENT SERVICES COORDINATOR- Tidewater Area, VABurlington Capital Properties is currently reviewing applications for a Resident Services Coordinator in the Tidewater Area, Virginia. This role assists in building successful programs and services to meet the needs of the residents, while fostering good community relations to enhance participation from residents and community partners.Qualified applicants should have previous experience in the social services field and a Bachelor's degree, preferably in a human services field.This full-time position requires availability Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.The successful Resident Services Coordinator will:Prepare, collect, and summarize surveys to determine the needs of the residents, and provide written reports as directed or requestedDevelop a list of programs and services along with written descriptions, goals and objectivesCreate, maintain and update listings of contact names, addresses and phone numbers of all business and community involved with the CenterIdentify local community organizations, government, business, and other community leaders that can support or assist the centerServes as on-site coordinator for all programs and oversees the day-to-day operations at assigned propertiesMaintain a current understanding of technical skills that would be required of students to carry out class assignmentsProvide written reports to the Director of Resident Services or management as requiredMaintain the confidentiality of all residentsEnforce all Local, State and Federal Laws and RegulationsMaintain a program for safety at the CenterAssist with all programs and day-to-day operationsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Possess excellent prioritizing and organizational skillsAbility to use computer and basic office equipment requiredAbility to communicate effectively and professionallyDemonstrated ability to initiate and maintain effective, cooperative relationships with low-income residents, community groups, service providers, business leaders, and local governmentExperience in program development and implementation, with an emphasis on programs related to children, youth, and their familiesStrong public presentation skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong organizational and coordination skills; and ability to juggle multiple goals and prioritiesDemonstrated knowledge of ability to advocate, organize, problem-solve for families, youth, and/or the elderlyEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Bachelor of Social Work or related work experience requiredMinimum of three years experience in social service work requiredCompetitive compensation and benefits package available and will be discussed during interviews.
