General Purpose:The Residential Services Director assumes administrative responsibility for the overall delivery of services ofthe department of Residential Care and functions as a member of the Management the absence ofthe Administrator the Residential Services Director will be the acting administrator of the facility. . Skills and Abilities: Possess a working knowledge of the regulations promulgated by the State of Maine Assisted HousingServices. Experience with and desire to care for people especially the geriatric population and those who arechronically ill. Engage and embrace person-centered care. Work with flexibility independence and good judgment and foster positive customer relationships. Communicate effectively with exceptional written and spoken communication skills. Make sound independent decisions. Lead with integrity and possess a willingness to work harmoniously with supervisor and otherpersonnel. Deal tactfully with employees residents family members visitors governmental agencies and thegeneral public. Essential Job Functions:The following list of duties includes primary responsibilities but is not all-inclusive: Oversees Resident Care and assures the Residential Care Department is in compliance with all Staterules and regulations meets the facilitys ANA standards of care and is in compliance with anyapplicable Federal rules & guidelines. Assures all Residential Care personnel have received appropriate training orientation and evaluationto deliver quality care. Assures all Residential Care personnel promote and maintain a positive relationship and teamworkwith each other other Departments Residents families visitors and all community agencies. Collaborates with the Management Team to implement strategies to assure the delivery of quality careand a timely admission and discharge process. Supports administration in meeting census and case mix goals. Demonstrated inter-departmental cooperation / collaboration and committee participation. Knows and respects patient rights; following all procedures re: health information complaint reportingand managing patient abuse neglect and/or misappropriation of patient property. Participates in our Quality and Process Improvement programs. Qualifications: Valid CRMA certification required; LPN preferred Managerial knowledge and experience in Nursing Administration a minimum of four (4) years ofexperience is preferred.
