JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Residential Aide
Project Chesapeake provides quality addiction treatment, behavioral health therapy & treatment for individuals with a dual diagnosis. We are seeking a highly motivated, reliable, & professional, full-time Residential Aide's to join our team in a new male Level 3.1 location! Our mission is to provide an opportunity for individuals to learn how to live a positive, sober lifestyle while empowering them to make changes that will lead to successful, independent living.
Hours:
- 9:00am - 5:00pm shifts
- 4:00pm - 12:00am shifts
- 12:00am - 9:00am shifts
Responsibilities include:
- Is responsible for monitoring all clients throughout their assigned shift.
- Ability to conduct regular "rounds" around the entire property.
- Ensures the daily program / schedule is being followed.
- Assist with new intakes, complete room searches, monitor mealtimes, etc.
- Observes & documents all clients taking and / or refusing prescribed or over the counter medications.
- Monitor & observe supervised urinalysis as needed / scheduled.
- Communicates in a professional manner with all clients, staff & supervisors.
- Keeps all program staff members informed of all client's current challenges or behavioral issues.
- Provides accurate information during shift changes via written & verbal communication in a professional manner.
- Attends team meetings as necessary / scheduled.
- Can quickly adapt to changes in schedules, routines & work assignments.
- Ability to deescalate.
- Ability to maintain ethical & professional boundaries with all clients & staff.
- Understands & abides by HIPAA guidelines / requirements at all times.
Qualifications include:
- Ability to observe, identify, document & inform others if physical, cognitive & behavioral changes are a concern.
- Understands the field of addiction, mental health & recovery.
- Prior experience in a Behavioral Health setting is a plus.
- Open to learning about & understanding ASAM criteria guidelines, Stages of Change, 12 step recovery, etc.
