Residential-Commercial Installer at PS Garage Doors

Position Summary:

To install all makes and models of products, as well as door related equipment, distributed by PS GARAGE DOORS. Perform related shop operations for the products we service. This position requires a cooperative attitude and the ability to interact well with customers and co-workers. Travel is involved, and occasionally overnight trips may be required. This position requires a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and the ability to participate in a 24 hour on-call service system. Position is unsupervised at all times. pay will be based upon experience. Must have proven previous garage door install experience.

Essential Job Functions:

• Perform installation on all residential & commercial jobs
• Service and repair for residential & commercial jobs when needed
• Read and interpret construction drawings, work orders, and related information
• Ability to troubleshoot operating errors and determine a solution
• Equipment maintenance and other duties related to quality control

Basic Qualifications:

• Ability to use measuring devices, hand tools, and power tools.
• May be required to obtain a DOT medical card (required for DOT regulations in MT).
• Skill in reading, writing, and math relative to construction drawings, work orders, timecards, shipping reports, and other job-related functions.
• Must have basic carpentry skills and mechanical knowledge relative to building construction and a service environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in welding (electric stick) and/or gas cutting torches (plasma, acetylene).
• Knowledge of electrical circuits, pneumatic circuits, & hydraulic circuits are beneficial.
• Forklift certification and/or CDL would be helpful.
• Background in installation, service/repair, or carpentry is beneficial.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift and walk with loads up to 150 lbs. with assistance, & climb ladders and scaffolding while carrying loads up to 75 lbs.

Work Environments:

• Position is primarily in-field installation with some work done in areas without heat or air conditioning.

This position is for EXPERIENCED INSTALLATION TECHNICIAN , Garage door service / repair experience is also preferred .
