Residential Counselor, Evenings Full- Time at University of Maryland Medical System

HOURS: Weekend CoverageUnder general supervision responsible for the overall daily operations of the residence. Based on a strengths model and using identified counseling and communication skills engages members to develop and maintain a supportive therapeutic safe home-like atmosphere which is sensitive to individual cultural and functional differences. Counselors are assigned to Community Rehabilitation Residential or Mentally Ill/ Homeless Programs.Qualifications : Education and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is required. Bachelors degree in a Human Services related field is preferred. Bachelors degree may substitute for the experience requirement on a year for year basis.Four years professional experience performing mental health services or equivalent is required.Current valid MD state drivers license is required.
