About the Job:

As an HVAC Mechanic at Armstrong Mechanical Services Inc., you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems for both residential and commercial clients. You will work with a small, dynamic team to ensure high-quality service and installation in a variety of environments, from homes to industrial plants. Your expertise will help maintain our reputation as a trusted local provider of HVAC solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation: Install Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) equipment per manufacturer specifications.
• Electrical Work: Wire both line and low voltage connections to HVAC equipment.
• Refrigerant Lines: Install copper refrigerant lines to air conditioning units, including soldering and brazing.
• Duct Systems: Install sheet metal and flex duct systems in residential and commercial buildings.
• Gas Lines: Properly connect gas lines to heating equipment.
• Material Measurement: Measure and assess job sites to determine the appropriate materials required for each installation.
• Logistics: Receive, verify, and load equipment and materials needed for each project.
• Team Support: Provide assistance to other leads and team members as directed by management.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Excellent problem-solving skills for diagnosing and repairing HVAC systems, both residential and commercial.
• Experience: Demonstrated ability to perform various service tasks, including working on air handlers, split systems, mini-splits, and refrigeration.
• Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with other technicians and, when necessary, lead a small crew.
• Customer Service: Strong communication skills with the ability to provide exceptional customer service on-site.
• Basic Computer Skills: Familiarity with basic computer functions for project management and documentation.
• EPA Certification: Must hold an EPA Certification for refrigerant handling.
• Tools for the Job: Must have tools to complete the job. Refrigerant gauges & hand tools.

Education & Experience:

• Education: High School diploma or GED (minimum).
• Experience: 5-10 years of experience in the HVAC industry preferred.
• Certifications: EPA certification required.
• Photos of previous projects if available
