Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSalary: Minimum: $23.00 per hourLOCATION:KLEO operates and manages two (2) shelters in the City of Chicago. If you are selected for an interview the location with the greatest need will be discussed at that time. This position will also be open to transfer based upon operational need.JOB SUMMARY: RESIDENTIAL MONITORisresponsible for completing the day-to-day activities under the direction of the Shift Supervisor.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIESIntake new clients and assist with discharge planningSupport distribution of meals and snacks including clean upConduct hourly walking inspections of all areas of the facilityAssist with training new staff and volunteersAssist resident(s) with regular laundry servicesAssist with Custodial and Janitorial dutiesCommunicate to all residents and adhere to the shelter rules and policiesAttend and participate in staff meetingsRespond to emergencies in a timely fashionWork cooperatively with other staff members and programs within shelterFacilitate in laundry of towels and client clothesAll other duties as assigned by the Site Supervisor, Shelter Manager, Project Manager, COO and President/CEOGENERAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSExerting up to 15 to 25 pounds of force occasionally which includes carrying laundry up 4 flights of stairs.Shifts: Shifts and location are available upon operational need.1st: 7:00am-3:30pm2nd:3:00pm-11:30pm3rd: 11:00pm-7:30amREQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:High School/GED or four-years of equivalent experienceKnowledge/Skills/Abilities/CompetenciesAbility to adapt to software applicationsAbility to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines with solid organizational, analytical, and problem solving skillsKnowledge of MS Office products including Outlook, Word and Excel or Google WorkspaceExperience in providing services to homeless residentsParticipation as a team player and sensitive to issues of diversityCONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:Background CheckComplete CPR Training Shelter location may vary: AIC KLEO Shelter640 W Irving Park Rd - Chicago, Illinois 60613MWRD KLEO Shelter 3034 W Foster Ave. Chicago, Illinois 60625
