Respiratory Therapist – Nights at Sable corporation HC

Respiratory Therapist Nights Position Summary The Respiratory Therapist provides respiratory care to patients across all acuity levels in an acute care hospital setting. The therapist performs assessments administers respiratory treatments manages ventilators and airway equipment and responds to emergent respiratory needs. This role requires strong clinical competency the ability to work independently and flexibility with scheduling. Night shift therapists must rotate every other weekend and every other holiday. Block scheduling is not permitted. Key Responsibilities Perform respiratory assessments and implement ordered therapeutic interventions. Administer medications and treatments including oxygen therapy nebulizers chest physiotherapy and non-invasive ventilation. Manage and troubleshoot ventilators CPAP/BiPAP and airway equipment. Monitor patient responses and adjust therapies within established protocols. Respond to rapid responses code blues and emergent respiratory situations. Document assessments treatments and patient progress accurately in the electronic medical record. Collaborate with physicians nurses and interdisciplinary staff to support patient care plans. Maintain proper equipment function cleanliness and readiness. Follow all respiratory care infection control and safety standards. Qualifications Current and valid Illinois Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license. Current BLS (AHA) certification. Minimum 2 years of recent acute care respiratory therapy experience preferred. Proficiency in ventilator management and emergency respiratory procedures. Shift Details Night shift. Works every other weekend. Works every other holiday. Flexible scheduling required.
