Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPosition: Lead in TrainingLocation: Melrose – 7111 Melrose Ave., Los Angeles CA 90046Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesSupport Management with day-to-day shift operations; may assist in leading team members during shifts (typically there will be an on-site manager)Learn front of house (FOH) and back of house (BOH) operationsEnsure all food safety practices are followed consistently in alignment with company policiesBe available as the “Point of Contact” when and if the Health Inspector visitsMaintains food service and production levels by helping to a lead strong front of house (FOH) and back of house (BOH) executionResponsible for conducting Quality Checks of product/foodResponsible for checking vendor deliveries to ensure all product received is correctComplete Health Inspection walkthroughs, including temperature checks of all produceEnsure team and guest safety by following operational policies and proceduresBe available to assist other team members to consistently follow Tatsu’s standards and proceduresEnsures all food served is safe, properly prepared, and visually presentableMonitor and ensure team members are taking breaks in compliance with California labor lawsFollowing and demonstrating recipe complianceOrganizes and assigns opening and closing duties to staff membersContribute ideas, thoughts and solutions to help improve efficiency and maximize resultsCommunicate any repair(s) needed or operational issues to management promptlyEscalate issues and concerns to management promptlyAddress guest complaints or concerns professionally and positivelyProvides feedback to Management on team member performance during shift (no employee discipline responsibilities, any disciplinary action will be addressed by management)Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evening, weekends, nights and/or holidaysWilling and able to perform staff tasks and cover for other team members, both in FOH and BOH *2-3 shifts of each a week*Willing and able to support other restaurant locations as neededOther tasks as specified by managementSkills and Requirements6 months of experience in FOH or BOHAble to work flexible hoursAble to work weekends and/or holidaysAbility to multitask in fast-paced environmentStrong desire to develop leadership skills and grow within the companyReliable, team-oriented, and committed to providing excellent guest serviceExcellent communication and organizational skillsFood Handlers CertificateFluent in both written and spoken EnglishWorking Conditions & Physical DemandsRestaurants are equipped with ventilated air conditioningNoise level is moderate to highTemperatures vary from hot to coldFloors may be slippery due to the nature of the businessAble to stand for 2-4 hours at a timeAble to reach overhead and outwards, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push, and squatAble to lift, push, carry and pull items weighing up to 50 pounds or less**Tatsu Ramen LLC., is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
