Restaurant Manager: Standard ItalianOverview of Concept:The Bower plaza in the Fenway is home to three concepts from ES Hospitality - Eastern Standard reopened after 15 years in Kenmore Square Equal Measure a craft cocktail bar and Standard Italian a modern Italian restaurant. These concepts helmed by Garrett Harker serve brunch lunch dinner and late-night drinks to neighborhood visitors BU students and faculty residents and restaurant industry professionals alike.Overview of the Position:The Restaurant Manager position at Standard Italian is a dynamic role with a lot of opportunity for growth. This individual will be responsible for taking a leadership role in the day-to-day management and operation of Standard Italian under the supervision of the ES Hospitality Director of Operations. This is a role for a candidate who is excited to develop and grow in all aspects of restaurant management as youll work fairly independently on a daily basis managing the front of house operations of a small hardworking front of house team. It is a role that will allow the right candidate to continue to learn and grow professionally working alongside talented food and beverage colleagues in a legacy restaurant with a multi-daypart multi-venue layout.Pay range: 70000 - 80000/yearResponsibilities:Assist in the day-to-day management of a team of FOH membersParticipate in restaurant opening and closing shifts as restaurant managerLead by example to guide and empower the FOH staff on the floor maintaining a hands on presence throughout each serviceFocus on ensuring proper steps of service are being followed across all FOH stations and staff: on the door tableside and supportChampion guest relations: focus on cultivating meaningful relationships with guests through impactful guest interactions with the goal of creating returning diners and regularsDevelop and implement guest relations initiatives across all three spacesAssist with private event executionTake part in special projects as necessaryQualifications:Minimum 2 years experience working in restaurant management preferredAbility to work well under pressure in a fast-paced ever-changing work environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong problem solving skillsWho You Are:Hardworking upbeat and energetic with the ability to lead by exampleGenuinely excited by food/beverage and the culinary industry and eager to grow professionallyA team player ready to pitch in wherever needed to ensure the success of the restaurant as a wholeCompensation and Benefits:We offer a competitive salary (based on experience) health/dental/vision insurance paid time off plan dining discounts 401k opportunity and continuous development and learning opportunities.Eastern Standard Hospitality considers applicants for all positions without regard to race color religion creed gender national origin age disability marital or veteran status sexual orientation or any other legally protected status.
