These interventions promote the patients ability to adapt and adjust to living as independently and safely as is possible. This concept actively focuses on achieving and maintaining optimal physical mental and psychosocial functioning. Restorative nursing interventions except for use of Continuous Passive Motion (CMP) do not require a physicians order. The incumbent shall be accountable for carrying out all responsibilities in accordance with Kindred Healthcare CORE values.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Perform rehabilitation/restorative nursing interventions that assist or promote the patients ability to attain his or her maximum functional potential Report patient responses to interventions and condition to the nurse supervising therapist(s) or assistant. Participate in facility/unit quality management activities. Collect quality review data. Participate in survey preparation activities. Participates in facility/unit safety committee activities Contribute to the delivery of cost-effective care. Assist in formalized discipline specific and interdisciplinary group activities. Participates in continuing education/professional development activities Communicate and demonstrate a professional image/attitude for patients families clients coworkers and others Adhere to policies and practices of applicable professional organizations client hospital and Kindred Healthcare. Contribute to client relations and marketing activities. Maintain competency. Participate in team meetings.
