Join Our Team as a Restorative Nurse at Crawford Care Center!

Crawford Care Center is on the lookout for a compassionate and skilled Restorative Nurse to become part of our nursing team. The Restorative Nurse is responsible for delivering restorative nursing services to residents in line with their individualized care plans, thereby enhancing independence, dignity, and overall quality of life. This role is crucial for coordinating, implementing, and evaluating restorative programs while mentoring CNAs and other staff on restorative techniques.

Qualifications

  • Nursing degree from an accredited college or university or a graduate of an approved LPN/RN program.

  • Current RN or LPN license in good standing without any active disciplinary actions.

  • A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience (1 year in restorative care is preferred).

  • Eligibility to participate in federally funded healthcare programs.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and direct restorative nursing services following resident care plans and facility policies.

  • Assess residents to determine the appropriate restorative nursing services needed.

  • Create individualized care plans that include measurable goals and interventions.

  • Provide and oversee restorative programs, including:

    • Range of motion exercises

    • Assistance with splints/ braces

    • Bed mobility, transfers, and ambulation

    • Support with dressing, grooming, and eating/swallowing programs

    • Care for amputations/prostheses and communication support

  • Supervise restorative aides and ensure precise documentation.

  • Monitor residents' progress, update care plans, and report any changes in condition.

  • Coordinate weight monitoring, restorative dining, and splint/brace tracking.

  • Participate in care plan meetings, QAPI activities, and staff training sessions.

  • Perform licensed nursing duties as required.

  • Uphold resident rights, confidentiality, infection control, and safety standards.
