DescriptionTitleSecurity Officer Retail EnvironmentLocationFramingham MAScheduleThursday Saturday 11:00 AM 11:00 PM (36 hours per week)Pay Rate: $20.25 per hourThis position is located in a retail environment and involves standing for long periods holding post and performing physically strenuous tasks throughout the shift.A Security Officer is responsible for safeguarding people property and assets of the client or organization. This role involves monitoring premises for suspicious activity enforcing rules and regulations providing a visible security presence and responding to incidents or emergencies. Security Officers play a key role in deterring criminal activity ensuring a safe environment and maintaining order.Essential Functions: Surveillance: Monitor security cameras and patrol assigned premises to detect suspicious activity unauthorized access or safety hazards. Access Control: Enforce access control policies check identification issue visitor passes and ensure only authorized personnel enter restricted areas. Emergency Response: Respond promptly to alarms emergencies or security incidentsincluding medical events fire hazards or criminal activityand escalate to law enforcement when appropriate. Incident Reporting: Complete detailed accurate incident reports documenting security or safety concerns. Patrolling: Conduct regular foot patrols to ensure entrances perimeters parking lots and interior areas remain safe and secure. Customer Service: Greet and assist visitors or employees answer questions and maintain a professional and approachable demeanor. Safety Inspections: Look for fire risks hazards or other conditions that may compromise safety. Conflict Resolution: Address minor disturbances calmly and effectively using de-escalation techniques. Collaboration: Coordinate with other security staff law enforcement or emergency responders as needed.Qualifications Excellent observational and de-escalation skills; able to stay calm under pressure. Strong communicator; able to work effectively with both local and global security teams. Committed to ethical practices and strict adherence to safety protocols. Intermediate computer skills required.Requirements At least 18 years of age. Reliable communication and transportation. Legal right to work in the United States. Ability to effectively speak read and write English.
