Retail Petroleum Service Technician at PumpTex

PumpTex Inc is seeking an Experienced Retail Petroleum Service Technician to provide excellent customer service repairs and maintenance to the gas stations we serve in McAllen and surrounding areas and drive our business by keeping our clients happy. We are looking for someone with a talent for troubleshooting petroleum equipment systems and interested in a long-term career in customer service.Our Petroleum Technicians earn a competitive wage based on experience as well as participate in our quarterly incentive bonus plan. As a family-oriented company we want our employees to have good work-life balance.PRIMARY EXPECTATIONS:Communicate respectfully in person and over the phone with our clients and team membersRespond to a variety of service calls (including emergency response and after hours when on-call)Participate in a required rotating on-call schedule (1 week of on-call every 5 weeks)Repair and maintain dispensers turbines UST tank top equipment UST monitoring equipment and dispenser calibrationTrack inventory on the company vehicle to ensure that you have all the equipment you need to help our clientsAssist in managing client expectations through correct judgments sound decisions and technical knowledgeFollowing up with clients to make sure they are taken care ofKeep up to date on new equipment launches and industry compliance and participate in ongoing trainingWork with a sense of urgency to make sure clients are operational and to minimize unbillable timeQUALIFICATIONS:Must live in the service area for the position or surrounding areasExperience as a Service Technician in the retail petroleum field is requiredExperience with 2 or more retail petroleum product lines (such as Wayne Verifone Gilbarco Passport); current or previous certification is preferredMust have a valid drivers licenseWORK SCHEDULE:Our Technicians typically work Monday-Friday 8am-5pm opportunities for overtime on-call rotation.ARE YOU READY TO JOIN OUR TEAMIf you feel that you would be right for this Petroleum Technician position complete our initial 3-minute mobile-friendly application.
