Revenue Analyst (Contractor)
We are seeking a detail-oriented Revenue Analyst contractor to support Business Operations within a North America Commercial & Money Movement Solutions organization. In this role, you focus on automating and maintaining recurring reporting deliverables while improving the efficiency and scalability of billing operations processes. You combine strong analytical skills with a process improvement mindset to deliver consistent, timely, and insightful outputs that support monthly business reviews and key stakeholder decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Automate and streamline monthly and recurring reports for senior business stakeholders.
- Build and maintain dashboards and reporting workflows using Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
- Ensure reporting outputs refresh consistently and on time with minimal manual intervention.
- Validate data accuracy across multiple data sources and investigate and resolve inconsistencies.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to refine reporting requirements and understand business needs.
- Deliver clear, concise insights and summaries that support business decision-making and revenue analysis.
- Enhance reporting formats, slide decks, and presentations to improve usability and executive readiness.
- Support monthly business reviews by summarizing key metrics, automating slides, and preparing analysis in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Manage and execute monthly billing processes, including invoice intake, validation, and submission.
- Track billing timelines and ensure adherence to internal service level agreements.
- Identify process inefficiencies in reporting and billing and recommend automation or simplification opportunities.
- Support documentation and standardization of billing workflows to ensure consistency and scalability.
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort in reporting and billing activities and implement automation solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to transition manual processes into scalable, automated workflows.
- Use AI-enabled tools to help create dashboards and improve reporting efficiency.
- Provide revenue analysis insights, including identifying who is driving revenue growth and where performance is lagging.
Essential Skills
- 13+ years of experience in business operations, analytics, or finance support roles.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced formulas, data manipulation, and pivot tables.
- Experience with reporting and data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Ability to automate reporting processes and build scalable reporting workflows.
- Strong quantitative skills and comfort working with large data sets to derive insights.
- Experience supporting revenue analysis and business performance reporting.
- High attention to detail and accuracy when validating data and preparing recurring deliverables.
- Ability to manage recurring monthly reporting and billing cycles and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills to deliver clear, concise insights and executive-ready summaries.
- Process improvement mindset with the ability to identify and address inefficiencies in workflows.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience using AI tools or automation technologies to create dashboards and streamline reporting.
- Background in financial technology or experience working in a global fintech environment.
- Familiarity with billing operations processes, including invoice intake, validation, submission, and timeline tracking.
- Experience preparing and automating PowerPoint presentations for monthly business reviews.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in business operations, analytics, and finance.
- Comfort working in a hybrid environment with both in-office and remote collaboration.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple recurring deliverables simultaneously.
Work Environment
This role operates in a hybrid work environment, typically with four days in the office and one day remote each week. The team includes several full-time employees and contractors, offering opportunities for collaboration and knowledge sharing. You primarily work with tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, PowerPoint, and AI-enabled platforms to build reports and dashboards. The environment is data-driven, fast-paced, and focused on supporting a global financial technology business, with an emphasis on accuracy, efficiency, and continuous process improvement.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Foster City, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
