Ride Mechanic - Full-time at Six Flags New England

As a Full-time Ride Mechanic at The Thrill Capital of New England you'll: perform daily inspections of assigned rides and attractions, perform rehab work on theme park rides and attractions, and maintain, erect, repair, and troubleshoot various theme park rides and attractions. Position is hourly, starting at $22.50/hour. Responsibilities:Performing daily inspections of assigned rides and attractions to ensure the safe operation of all units Communicating with Maintenance and Operations Management on ride and attraction downtime Performing rehab work on theme park rides and attractionsMaintaining, erecting, repairing, and troubleshooting various theme park rides and attractionsVisually inspecting and listening to machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctionsRemoving and/or replacing worn or defective parts using hand and/or power toolsPerforming routine preventative maintenance on various equipment including rides and attractionsTracking inspections and repairs in Maximo; Keeping accurate logs and records of routine and preventative maintenance work performedComplying with ride manufacturer guidelines and state regulationsQualifications:Experience as a mechanicStrong work ethic and attention to detailFocus on safety Sense of funFriendly, outgoing personality and ability to address guest concernsWillingness to work in a high performance team environment18 years old or older with a valid driver's licenseAble to work at heights over 200 feetAble to lift 50 lbs. without difficultyWilling to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysAble to meet the physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations, including lifting, bending, standing for long periods of time, climbing, etc.Able to successfully complete pre-employment background and post offer physical screening
