Risk & Optimization Specialist (Entry Level)Location: Remote / On-SiteCompany: Department: Marketplace Operations Risk & TrustAbout the RoleAs an Entry-Level Risk & Optimization Specialist you will play a key role in maintaining the integrity safety and efficiency of the marketplace. You will review live events and seller activity to identify potential risks coach sellers to reduce exposure and optimize seller settings to enhance performance. This is an excellent opportunity for someone analytical detail-oriented and eager to grow within online marketplace operations.ResponsibilitiesEvent & Transaction Risk ReviewEvaluate upcoming and active events to determine risk level (e.g. delivery challenges fraud likelihood fulfillment complexity).Flag high-risk events and recommend mitigation strategies for internal teams and sellers.Monitor marketplace trends (pricing inventory movement event type behavior) to proactively identify emerging risks.Seller Coaching & SupportWork directly with sellers to address risky listing behaviors or operational gaps.Provide guidance on best practices for pricing delivery timelines fulfillment accuracy and order management.Assist sellers in understanding marketplace policies and how to reduce cancellations fraud triggers or customer complaints.Operational OptimizationRegularly review seller performance dashboards and risk indicators.Adjust seller settingstightening or loosening controls such as order caps delivery windows approval requirementsbased on demonstrated behavior changes.Collaborate with internal teams to refine automated rules scoring systems and fulfillment safeguards.Monitoring & ReportingTrack and analyze event-level and seller-level risk patterns.Produce reports on risk findings and recommendations.Surface insights to leadership to improve marketplace health and buyer trust.QualificationsBachelors degree preferred or equivalent experience in marketplace operations risk analytics customer support or related field.Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.Excellent communication and coaching skills.Ability to make decisions using structured frameworks and data.Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.Familiarity with ticketing e-commerce or marketplace businesses is a plus.What Were Looking ForA proactive problem-solver who can balance risk reduction with seller enablement.Someone who enjoys working with data and patterns to improve operational outcomes.A team member who is collaborative curious and eager to grow in risk management or marketplace operations.
