JOB DESCRIPTION

Welder - Aircraft Comb | Lockheed Martin

You will be the Welder - Aircraft Comb for the Fabrication Team which is responsible for producing high-quality welded assemblies for aircraft structures.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Welder - Aircraft Comb you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and inspecting a variety of welding processes to fabricate critical aircraft components.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Set up and operate gas, electric-arc, inert-gas-arc, carbon-arc, and orbital-tube welding equipment.
  • Read and interpret detailed assembly blueprints, loft data, and sketches to ensure accurate weld placement.
  • Apply material-specific welding techniques that minimize warping, distortion, and residual stress.
  • Operate single- and multi-head profile-cutting torch machines and perform precision metal-cutting operations.
  • Verify shop orders, record material disbursement, and use precision measuring instruments and shop mathematics to confirm dimensional compliance.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

The base range for this position in California is $26.08 - 43.37. The wage range and benefits summary is a general guideline and is governed by the applicable collective bargaining agreement when extending an offer.
