Our team is committed to delivering high-quality solutions that help bring life-changing therapies to market.  Position Overview: Pace Life Sciences in Morrisville, NC has an exciting opportunity for an entry-level leadership role as a Group Leader. This is a critical, diversified role at the site with a wide range of responsibilities, ideal for individuals looking to grow their leadership skills while managing key operational functions.  Key Responsibilities: Lead and mentor a team responsible for inventory management and purchasing activities for the site. Oversee cost control management in a purchasing environment to ensure budget compliance. Manage and coordinate daily workflow, prioritizing tasks to meet client and operational deadlines. Lead the implementation and integration of digital solutions to enhance laboratory inventory management and workflows, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Serve as a point of contact for internal teams and assist with troubleshooting supply management challenges. Support continuous improvement initiatives within the department.  Qualifications: Minimum 5 years’ experience in an Analytical Testing environment with a preference for GMP testing experience (required). Experience can be in the laboratory or in purchasing. Prior leadership experience preferred or demonstrated ability to take the next step into leading a team.  Previous experience with purchasing processes and inventory management. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong organizational and communication skills; self-starter with a proactive approach. Experience with cost control management in a purchasing environment. Familiarity with Coupa purchasing system is a plus. Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific field (preferred).  Leadership Development & Cross-Functional Exposure: This role offers a unique opportunity to: Develop and refine leadership skills through direct team management and strategic decision-making. Gain exposure to multiple operational areas, including purchasing, inventory control, cost management, and technology implementation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the site, influencing processes that impact quality, compliance, and efficiency. Play a key role in technology adoption and process improvement initiatives. Find Your Place at Pace - We need you - your curiosity, your talents, and your drive - to help us advance this important work.BenefitsWhen you join Pace®, you commit to work that makes a positive impact on our communities and our world.
