RN - Endoscopy - Contract - MSH at Talent Hires

The Endoscopy Registered Nurse provides specialized nursing care to patients undergoing gastrointestinal and other endoscopic procedures. This role includes pre-procedure preparation, intra-procedure assistance, and post-procedure recovery care in a fast-paced ambulatory setting. The RN collaborates closely with physicians and clinical staff to ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centered care. This is a 36-hour/week, 12-hour shift role (7:00 AM–7:30 PM) with every other weekend required. Responsibilities • Provide comprehensive pre-, intra-, and post-procedural nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures. • Prepare procedure rooms and equipment according to infection control and safety standards. • Assist physicians during procedures, ensuring proper scope handling, specimen collection, and documentation. • Monitor patient vital signs, sedation levels, and overall condition throughout each stage of care. • Educate patients and families regarding procedures, expectations, and discharge instructions. • Manage post-procedural recovery, assess for complications, and coordinate safe discharge. • Document care accurately using EPIC (highly preferred). • Ensure proper sterilization processes and maintain a safe clinical environment. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support high-quality, efficient endoscopy services. • Work 3×12-hour shifts with flexibility and professionalism. Requirements • Minimum 2 years of ambulatory and post-procedural care experience. • Minimum 2 years of RN experience. • Experience in endoscopy or procedural nursing highly preferred. • EPIC electronic medical records experience (highly preferred). • Strong assessment, patient education, and clinical coordination skills. • Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and every other weekend.
