What You'll Do:As a Solutions Architect at Slingshot, you will design innovative technical solutions to address unmet customer needs in the space-systems domain. You'll play a key role in developing winning proposals by crafting compliant technical volumes, leading technical demonstrations, and creating compelling visual materials. In this role, you'll provide subject matter expertise during customer engagements, support teaming activities, and clearly articulate value propositions to drive new business opportunities."Slingshot Aerospace cares deeply about our commitment to company values, mission, and purpose. The core competencies we will be looking to identify include: intellectual agility, ability to develop innovative solutions, leadership, performance-orientation, and industry expertise.Position Responsibilities:Act as a technical lead for new business captures, lead product sales and solutioning activities, and provide subject matter expertise; help create repeatable processesCollaborate with the account team on technical proposals, presentations, and demonstrations that effectively communicate the value and capabilities of Slingshot's solutions.Serve as a trusted technical advisor to prospects and customers, translating their operational challenges into tailored solutions while ensuring alignment with government standards and regulations.Work closely with product, engineering, and delivery teams to ensure proposed solutions are feasible, efficient, and aligned with Slingshot's capabilities and roadmapDevelop high-level designs that align to customer requirements and user operations, and that leverage our internal engineering capabilities and support cost proposal generationMaintain understanding of all Slingshot products and capabilities, stay up to date on new developments and technologiesPerform other duties as assigned (to be less than 10% of the responsibilities listed above)Pre-RequisitesMust be eligible to obtain or maintain US Government Security ClearanceMinimum RequirementsBachelor's degree in aerospace engineering or a related technical field10+ years of experience developing technical solutions for USG customers with space domain awareness (SDA) or space surveillance and tracking (SST) needs5+ years of experience architecting technical solutions for USG customers with SDA or SST needs, supporting the capture lifecycle process from the discovery phase to developing a compelling technical baseline to delivering a mature technical response that receives high marks from the USG customerAbility to write compelling and compliant technical proposalsDemonstrated strategic and technical leadership experience in SDA or SSTComfort in customer-facing situations; willingness to engage with the marketStrong verbal communication skills, including active listening and the ability to explain complex solutions to both technical and non-technical audiencesStrong presentation skills, including the ability to generate graphics and presentations that increase the probability of winning new businesExperience forming trusted relationships with potential new customers and helping shape new business opportunities that align with our strengthsAbility to travel up to 20% of the time within the United States to support meetings with customers and business partnersPreferred SkillsMaster's degree in aerospace engineering or a related technical fieldSupported over $20 million in new business awards by leading technical proposal responses and supporting subsequent program executionCapable of generating detailed and accurate pricing estimatesExperience leading both written and oral technical responses for RFPsAble to evaluate the competitive landscape of potential bidders on a new business opportunity as well as formulating a well-thought strategy for beating a pool of potential competitorsDeep knowledge of platform architectures and authority-to-operate processesEarly-stage start-up experienceYou don't have to meet every qualification listed - if your skills are transferable and you meet the minimum requirements, we encourage you to apply.Location: UK (Remote)Classification:Full-Time ExemptCompensation: 80,000 - 134,000US-based Candidates: we are currently only able to hire residents of the following U.S. states: AZ, CA, CO, DC, FL, GA, HI, IL, IN, KS, MD, MA, MI, MN, MO, MT, NV, NJ, NM, NY, NC, OR, RI, TN, TX, UT, VT, VA, WA, WV, and WI.
