About Wayne HospitalServing the region since 1957 this 99-bed full-service acute care center is the only one in the Wayne Westland Garden City Canton Inkster and Romulus area verified by the American College of Surgeons as a Level III trauma center and certified by The Joint Commission. The hospital has a long-standing partnership with Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to handle a variety of health and communicable disease concerns. This community-focused hospital has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as a high-preforming facility in congestive heart failure chronic obstructive pulmonary disease kidney failure and maternal services.Scope of WorkUnder the ANA scope of practice utilizes the framework of the nursing process to provide professional nursing care by incorporating patient-family center care principles. Under the direct supervision of the Nursing leader and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team uses clinical judgment skills to access and implement the treatment plan for patients. Assesses monitors detects plans and takes appropriate action to prevent physiological complications associated with specific health problems and/or medical treatment.QualificationsRequired Associates Degree Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an associates degree from an ACEN accredited diploma program.Required Bachelors Degree B.S.N M.S.N DNP/PhD- if not minimum BSN prepared new graduate/nurse with less than one (1) year experience is required to sign an educational contract upon hire to complete BSN within specified timeframe and adhere to contract stipulations. RN mush enroll in an accredited BSN program within one (1) year of licensure date and complete within the next five (5) years. This is effective April 18 2023.1 year of relevant experience acute care emergency or intensive care nursing.
