Various types of technology are used to care for and treat critical care patients. This technology includes but is not limited toventilatorsentriculostomies cardiac monitors pulmonary artery catheters arterial lines central lines PICC lines IABP ECMO/tandem heart Impella BIS monitors continuous pulse oximetry continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) gastric tubes and intravenous infusion pumps.
