Title: RN Labor & Delivery Location: Machias ME Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 123 Nights Weekly Gross: $2829Job DescriptionThe Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive care to laboring mothers postpartum patients and newborns. This role requires strong clinical judgment the ability to respond quickly in emergent situations and excellent communication with patients and the healthcare team.Job ResponsibilitiesProvide continuous care monitoring and assessment for laboring patients including maternal and fetal vital signs.Assist with vaginal deliveries by preparing the room supporting the mother and assisting the provider throughout the delivery process.Deliver postpartum care to mothers and newborns performing routine assessments and screenings.Manage IVs administer medications and support labor interventions including epidurals and induction agents.Monitor and interpret fetal heart rate patterns; respond appropriately to changes in maternal or fetal condition.Participate in emergent situations such as C-sections postpartum hemorrhage management and neonatal resuscitation.Provide newborn care: initial assessments medications thermoregulation and family education.Educate mothers and families on breastfeeding newborn care postpartum recovery and discharge instructions.Document all assessments interventions and responses accurately in the electronic medical record.Collaborate with obstetricians midwives anesthesia pediatric teams and other clinical staff to ensure safe patient care.RequirementsMinimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience required.CertificationsActive Maine RN license or compact licenseBLS (AHA)ACLS (AHA)NRPFetal Monitoring TrainingFor more details reach at or Call / Text at .About Navitas Healthcare LLC certified WBENC and one of the fastest-growing healthcare staffing firms in the US providing Medical Clinical and Non-Clinical services to numerous hospitals.
