DescriptionThe role of aRespite Nurseis to offer one-on-one time between a child and licensed nurse within the familys home or community. Respite care is designed to give families a break from the day-to-day care involved in raising a child with special healthcare needs. ChildServesrespite service allows parents to attend events for their other children schedule appointments for themselves or simply take time to recharge.SchedulePrimarily afternoons evenings and weekends. Can be regularly scheduled or as needed.Located in Ames Nevada or SlaterHow Youll Make an Impact Provide one-on-one nursing support in the home or communityInteract with the child and participate in fun activitiesComplete electronic documentation and paper MARSPossible skills used:medication administration g-tube nutrition seizure management trach cares etc.What Youll NeedCurrent valid license as a RN or LPN in Iowa.Valid drivers license with two or fewer violations in the past three yearsActive BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.Ability to lift up to 35 lbs be mobile within the clinic areas and frequently bend lift reach and stand.Ability to communicate effectively in (or through) reading writing and speaking the English language.Not sure if you hit 100% of the position expectations Lets talk!
