Responsibilities of the RN/LPN Unit Manager:

  • Supervise and support nursing staff to ensure exceptional resident care and clinical outcomes

  • Conduct resident assessments, develop and update care plans, and ensure compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards

  • Oversee wound care management, including monitoring skin integrity, coordinating treatments, and collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to promote healing and prevent complications

  • Monitor resident conditions and communicate changes promptly to physicians, families, and appropriate healthcare professionals

  • Ensure adherence to infection control practices, patient safety standards, and quality assurance initiatives

  • Provide leadership, education, mentoring, and ongoing support to nursing staff

  • Coordinate with residents, families, physicians, and healthcare teams to ensure individualized care plans are followed

  • Assist with staffing coordination, documentation review, scheduling, and other daily administrative responsibilities

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance resident care and clinical performance

Qualifications:

  • Current RN or LPN license in the state of Ohio

  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care setting preferred

  • Experience with wound care and wound management strongly preferred

  • Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills

  • Knowledge of infection prevention and skin integrity protocols

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership abilities

  • Compassionate, resident-centered approach to care
