Department:ICE NRSL Neuro/Neuro Surg H8 IP CDepartments Website:Summary of Job Duties:Schedule: Full-Time Shift VariesThis posting will be used to fill multiple positions.The Registered Nurse provides patient care to assigned patients in the H8 Neuroscience Progressive Care Unit (NPCU). The NPCU is a 30-bed unit specializing in neurological and neurosurgical diagnoses. Neuroscience nursing at UAMS is part of the Critical Care Division. Our nurses receive focused education and competency assessment for common neuroscience concepts monitoring procedures and devices. The NPCU works closely with the Neurocritical Care area and can facilitate transfer for the right candidate.UAMS is designated as a Comprehensive Stroke Certified Center providing the highest level of acute stroke care Comprehensive Level 4 Epilepsy Center providing the highest level of epilepsy monitoring and treatment and recognized by Healthgrades with the 2022 Cranial Neurosurgery Excellence Award.
