The Registered Nurse prioritizes patient needs coordinates patient care and collaborates with other members of the patient care team to provide care in accordance with the medical plan of care.EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:Minimum: Basic Arrhythmia or equivalent (within one year of hire)Hemodynamics or equivalent (within one year of hire)Critical Care Course or equivalent (within one year of hire)Desired:One year of acute nursing experienceOne year of recent Critical Care RN experienceOne year of recent Intensive Care Unit experiencePrevious Paramedic ED Triage Tech EMT ED Tech or Lift Tech experienceBasic Arrhythmia Hemodynamics or Critical Care CourseLICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:Minimum:Current licensure with the California Board of Registered NursingCurrent CPRCurrent ACLSCurrent PALS (within 6 months of hire)Current NIH Stroke Scale Certification (within 6 months of hire) (dept tracks)Desired:CNRN certification SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:Must demonstrate technical competence professional clinical judgment communication skills and sensitivity for the patient and family in crisis.
