Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Summary: The BCBA for outpatient services is responsible for developing and overseeing the implementation of behavioral treatment plans for clients in an outpatient care center setting, empowering them to thrive through effective behavior change across meaningful areas of their lives. Our BCBAs benefit from ongoing support and mentorship from a BCBA-D. QUALIFICATIONS: A Masters degree in applied behavior analysis or a closely related field is required.Certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst is required.Licensure in the State of Louisiana is required.At least one year of experience in providing ABA services in an outpatient care setting is required.Completion of 8-hour supervision training and maintenance of supervisor status per BACB requirements.A valid driver’s license, certification in CPR, and competency in CPI or another form of crisis prevention system will be required throughout employment.Competency in the use of telephones, computers, copiers/scanners, and other basic office equipment is required.Experience providing services to adolescents and young adults is desired.Experience conducting behavior analytic research is desired.Experience working with insurance companies is desired. Job Concept: (This list may not include all of the duties assigned) Designs and implements comprehensive behavioral assessments including but not limited to functional assessments and skills assessments. Utilizes assessment results in the development, implementation, monitoring, and generalization of behavioral treatment programs (for both behavior reduction and skill acquisition). Provides comprehensive behavior analytic services for clients up to age 21. Develops goals and treatment plans in accordance with input from the client, family, and clinical team. Provides individualized therapy and facilitates active client and family participation in the therapeutic process. Trains and supervises a team of behavior technicians (i.e., RBTs, RLTs) to ensure the provision of high quality service delivery. Establishes and maintains relationships with caregivers while providing relevant, appropriate, and supportive clinical services to caregivers of clients including, but not limited to, caregiver training. Demonstrates creative problem solving when adapting treatment to special circumstances as team feedback and documentation evinces. Generates assessment reports per funding guidelines, BACB, and St. Mary’s standards. Meets with insurance funders as indicated to explain behavioral assessments and services to ensure coverage. Submits all payor documentation as indicated and on time to receive reimbursement for services. Complete monthly billable targets as determined by caseload size, severity, and other duties assigned. Works collaboratively and communicates effectively with the clinical team toward supporting client progress and overall program effectiveness through systems innovation, program improvement initiatives, and continued education and training. Transitions and or terminates services if/when necessary. Attends and is an active participant in all staff meetings. May be required to assist in the development and implementation of behavioral treatment plans and/or behavior management plans at St. Mary’s ICF on an as-needed basis. May be required to fill-in, on an as-needed basis, for behavior technicians who are absent to ensure the provision of ABA services as indicated in each client’s treatment plan. Under the guidance of the Director of Behavioral Services, conducts behavioral research and/or disseminates findings by participating in lectures, symposia, or other conferences with St. Mary’s affiliation. Abides by the “Ethics Code for Behavior Analysts” or any subsequent code or guidelines put forth by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board or subsequent regulatory organization. Submits purchase requests to the Director of Behavioral Services in a timely fashion, makes purchases according to established procedures, and ensures that the areas of the center under his or her responsibility are never without adequate supplies necessary for providing quality services. Ensures the safety, security, and functionality of the outpatient care center by making routine inspections, reporting hazards, and ensuring corrective actions are taken in a timely manner. Responds to all emergencies, disasters, and evacuations.
