Work Shift:Night - 12 Hour (United States of America)7p-7a FTI. Position Summary:Primarily responsible for providing professional nursing care within the assigned unit. Coordinates plan of care with the patient their family and the interdisciplinary team. Ensures appropriate resources to all internal/external customers. Responsible for carrying out the mission vision and quality commitment of Houston Healthcare.II. Qualifications:A. Education & Training:Graduate from an accredited School of NursingB. Experience:One (1) year med/surg experience. Residency or Fellowship programs may apply depending on department and experience.C. Required Certification/Registration/Licensure:Current US state RN license with authorization to practice in the state of GA. Current AHA/ARC BLS certification. Current AHA ACLS/ARC ALScertification or obtained within nine (9) months of hire. Current AHA/ARC PALS certification or obtained within nine (9) months of hire. Completion of the Rhythm Interpretation Course CLEP test or classroom course or obtained within 3 months. CPT training within 9 months of hire. Must obtain and maintain required ortho education/training as mandated in the Houston Healthcare Joint Destination Center of Excellence Policy. Must obtain and maintain required stroke education/training as mandated in the Houston Healthcare Primary Stroke Center/Acute Stroke Ready Designation Policy.D. Knowledge Skills & Abilities:Must be able to utilize standard office equipment. Must be able to utilize diagnostic equipment as well as patient care equipment.
