University Health is the first and only health system in San Antonio and South Texas to earn the prestigious Magnet status from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Only 6% of the nation’s hospitals earn this “gold standard” in the measuring the quality of care. The float pool provides an excellent opportunity for nurses to work throughout the hospital in a variety of units, including medical/surgical, ICU and Pediatric.
