This is our primary stroke unit that also manages respiratory and cardiac patients. This unit is staffed at a 1:3-4 patient ratio consistent with national standards of care.Essential DutiesProvides continuous cardiac monitoring arrhythmia recognition and intervention.Initiates and titrates multiple complex cardiac related infusions at higher doses.Manages high flow & bipap patients.Manages patients with acute neurological/neurosurgical events.Job RequirementsGraduation from an accredited school of nursing. upon hire and1-2 years med/surg experience orNew graduate with completion of senior practicum in a specialty area i.e.: Critical Care ED PACU orFor those with no previous PCU/ICU experience must successfully complete the PCU residency or the critical care residency programRegistered Nurse: WA upon hire andCurrent American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS Certification. Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire.
