Your sense of urgency and dedication to excellence in a fast-paced environment will not only support patient recovery but also fuel your own career advancement.This 32 bed telemetry monitored unit houses PCU level of care with some medical/telemetry overflow as well. This is our primary stroke unit that also manages respiratory and cardiac patients. This unit is staffed at a 1:3-4 patient ratio consistent with national standards of care.Essential DutiesProvides continuous cardiac monitoring arrhythmia recognition and intervention.Initiates and titrates multiple complex cardiac related infusions at higher doses.Manages high flow & bipap patients.Manages patients with acute neurological/neurosurgical events.Job RequirementsGraduation from an accredited school of nursing. upon hire and1-2 years med/surg experience orNew graduate with completion of senior practicum in a specialty area i.e.: Critical Care ED PACU orFor those with no previous PCU/ICU experience must successfully complete the PCU residency or the critical care residency programRegistered Nurse: WA upon hire andCurrent American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS Certification. Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 6 monthsPreferredBachelors Of Science Nursing and One year of related work experience in an acute care setting upon hire andPrevious PCU/ICU experience orCritical RN Adult/Neonatal/Pediatric/Acute andCertified Neuroscience RN Key Skills EMR Systems,Hospital Experience,Acute Care,ICU Experience,Hospice Care,Workers' Compensation Law,Home Care,Nursing,Catheterization,Critical Care Experience,Medication Administration,Tube Feeding Employment Type : Unclear Experience: years Vacancy: 1
