Although we can provide many of the same services you will find in a big city we take great pride in our friendly and caring staff.The Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)assists practitioners with administrative duties in assigned department within the hospital or clinic by obtaining patient records and test results coordinating daily administrative tasks preparing treatment rooms for examinations and assisting practitioners during medical procedures.JOB DUTIES:Obtain and record patient medical histories vitals test results and other information for medical recordsCoordinate the daily administrative activities including scheduling patient check-in and check-out and patient medical record maintenance.Prepare treatment rooms ensuring cleanliness for clinical exams and assist practitioners with procedures and other patient care.Deliver compassionate support attention and assistance to patients and familiesEnsure compliance with all health care regulations including HIPAA and OSHAPrepare and administer medications for patients as directed by physicians.Complete lab controls and proficiency testing if neededGreet patients and prepare them for the type of treatment neededInstruct patients on treatment preparation and aftercareObtain specimens perform lab duties draw blood and chart results as neededPerform required testing and treatment such as EKGs PFT etcCommunicates with pharmacies nursing homes other physicians or other entities required providing practitioners orders verbatimReport lab X-Ray imaging and other diagnostics along with plan of care to patients as directed by practitionerMaintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA Privacy and SecurityThe Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)assumes other responsibilities as assigned by the Nursing Director or Practitioner.JOB REQUIREMENTS:Analytical ability to apply criteria and evaluate information to make decisionsStrong verbal and written communication skills; and excellent interpersonal skills in teaming with patients medical staff and the publicBasic understanding of patient care medical terminology coding procedures reference tools and appropriate clinical pharmacology for medical assistant scopeKnowledgeable in policies regulations and procedures to administer patient careKnowledgeable of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environmentKnowledgeable with Microsoft Office programs including Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook; familiar with electronic medical health care record systemsAbility to maintain quality control standardsAbility to react calmly and effectively in emergency situationsAbility to stand walk talk hear sit; reach with arms hands and fingers to handle and feel; climb or balance; stoop kneel crouch or crawl; taste and smell as demonstrated by the pre-employment physical administered by CRMC at offerEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing requiredCurrent Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse licensure with the State of Kansas requiredBLS required1-2 years experience in a healthcare setting preferredWe are excited to learn about you and hope you join us on a shared mission serving every generation with patient centered compassionate care.
