Job Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation of HVAC ductwork and piping systems in new construction and renovation projects.
- Measure and cut sheet metal and other materials according to specifications.
- Support senior technicians in the layout and assembly of HVAC units and components.
- Help maintain a clean and organized work environment by handling tools and equipment appropriately.
- Transport and handle materials and equipment to and from the job site.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Attend training sessions and workshops to improve technical skills and knowledge of HVAC systems.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks such as cleaning ductwork and replacing filters under supervision.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics with guidance from experienced technicians.
- Assist in testing HVAC systems for proper functioning and efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding project updates and needs.
- Participate in troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with HVAC components and systems.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of HVAC systems and components
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Willingness to follow safety protocols and guidelines
- Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy materials and equipment
- Effective communication skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced technicians
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and confined spaces
- Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations
- Flexibility to work overtime or weekends if needed
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Enrollment in or completion of a relevant technical training program is a plus
Compensation details: 15-18 Hourly Wage
