If youre dependable willing to work in varying weather conditions and enjoy hands-on physical work this is your chance to be part of something big.Be part of a company that puts safety first supports your growth and values the hard work that makes every project a success.Job DescriptionPerform a variety of manual duties usually working in a utility capacity by transferring from one project to another or from one task to another where demands require assistance of workmen with varied experience and ability to work without close supervision. As a road laborer you will be responsible for supporting various infrastructure projects including road repairs paving drainage systems and general site clean-up. This is a physically demanding role ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors and contributing to essential public works.QUALIFICATION STANDARDSMeasure distance from grade stakes drive stakes stretch tight line and grade stacks from lumber for reuse.Level earth to fine grade specifications with shovel to assist in pipe laying preparing sub grades and other excavations.Direct other laborers in dumping concrete into formsErect shoring and braces and paints pipe joints with sealing compoundAssist in setting pumps and setting well-points.May assist heavy construction equipment operator in aligning and moving equipment such as cranes power shovels and backhoes verifying grades and signaling operators to adjust machines to conform to grade specifications.Directs truck drivers and scraper operators to dumping positions to maintain grades as directed by Grading Foreman or Dumping Foreman.Work in a concrete paving crew adding to or removing concrete from in front of concrete finishing machines so that correct grade will be met.Occasionally use small power toolsMay work as lead man in a labor crew.Will usually exercise considerable independent judgement to plan work of a routine nature; accepts responsibility for several phases and expedites that work without having to be told or be explained the procedure for performing duties.PHYSICAL AND SAFETY REQUIREMENTSAble to lift and carry up to 50 lbs (assistance recommended for heavier loads).Work extended hours on foot including on uneven or rough surfaces.Climb ladders kneel crawl or work at heights and in confined spaces.WORK ENVIRONMENTLocation: industrial construction sites and/or fabrication shopMobility Barriers to Access Job Site:Uneven ground levelObstructed pathwaysWork performed at low and/or high elevationsWork performed in confined areasClimatic/Environmental Conditions at Job Site: Predominately outdoor climateMay be exposed to extreme hot or cold weatherExcessive humidity rain etc.Various noise levels caused by tools machinery equipment etc.Potential exposure to chemical substancesBENEFITSCompetitive compensation paid weeklyBest-in-class; Medical Dental Vision and LTD/STD401(k) with company match vested day-oneEmployee Stock Purchase Plan ESPPTuition ReimbursementPet Coverage For our Furry FriendsLegal Assistance CoverageAward winning safety programsCompany OverviewPrimoris was formed in 2004 as the parent company and is traded on the NYSE under the symbol PRIM.
