Start Bus discounts WRS Pension and so much more!Email questions toor call .SUMMARY:Coordinates the Public Works Departments construction activities; prepares bid and contract documents provides plan design review coordinates projects administers contracts and coordinates work with County departments and state and federal agencies; conducts traffic studies evaluates road and pathways and coordinates other infrastructure projects. Essential duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:Prepares bid and contract documents develops plans and cost estimates for design and construction of County road pathway and other infrastructure projects; manages construction repair and maintenance projects and verifies compliance with state and federal regulations and County standards.Conducts engineering design review for County road levee and pathway projects. Provides detailed comments to the professional design engineer from design phase through construction completion. Reviews design compatibility with construction objectives. Monitors projects in cooperation with other departments outside agencies and contractors; manages performance of outside contractors; monitors and inspects construction activities to verify projects meet Public Works design and budget goals schedules and contract compliance standards.Conducts traffic studies gathers and compiles data analyzes traffic data and determines the need for traffic control devices; evaluates roadway characteristics and safety issues prepares speed study reports and develops recommendations.Evaluates and analyzes technical issues develops solutions advises on specialized areas of technical expertise and assures the highest quality engineering products are delivered on time and within budget.Supports the relationship between the Teton County staff and the general public by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with visitors and County staff; maintains confidentiality of work-related issues and County information; performs other duties as required or assigned.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education and Experience:Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Construction Management; AND five years of civil engineering project experience; OR equivalent combination of education training and experience.Required Licenses and Certifications:Must possess a valid Wyoming/Idaho Drivers License and maintain an acceptable driving record.Specific technical skills training and certifications may be required.Required Knowledge of:County policies and procedures.Federal and state laws regulations and procedures governing public works projects including American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) standards protocols specifications and guidelines; Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) rules and regulations; and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) permit guidelines.Civil engineering methods and practices for project planning designs technical plans specifications estimates and reports for civil engineering projects.Methods materials and equipment used in road and infrastructure construction.Principles practices and techniques of road and infrastructure maintenance and repair.Principles and practices of government project contract records and budget management.OSHA safety rules and regulations and safety standards involving hazardous traffic environments.Required Skills in:Interpreting and applying technical standards and procedures federal and state rules and regulations and County policies and procedures.Managing and coordinating the planning design and construction of public works projects.Analyzing and evaluating technical engineering data and construction documentation.Assessing and prioritizing multiple tasks projects and demands.Promoting and enforcing safe work practices.Operating a personal computer utilizing standard and specialized software including GIS and other specialized software applications used in planning mapping and statistical analysis.Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other County employees public officials and representatives from other regional state and federal agencies.Communicating effectively verbally and in writing.Physical Demands/Work Environment:Work is performed in a standard office environment and at construction sites as needed.Required Experience:Senior IC Key Skills Abinitio,Cobol,Environmental Consultancy,Facility Management,Insulation,Asic Employment Type : Full-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1 Monthly Salary Salary: 40 - 46
