We are currently seeking an experienced civil engineer for roadway engineering in our Virginia Beach, VA office. In this role, the engineer will work on a multi-disciplinary team developing roadway transportation plans for VDOT and/or municipal localities. This position will be responsible for designing roadway, intersection, roundabout, and interchange projects meeting federal and state design guidelines. We are a rapidly growing company, currently ranked 118 by ENR, and have doubled both the number of employees and offices in the last 10 years. Our clientele includes a wide range of state and local agencies. Responsibilities:The Roadway Engineer will participate in the planning and design on transportation related projects. Requirements:Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET accredited program5 - 10 years of experience in the civil engineering fieldRoadway design experience a plus (preferably with VDOT)Ability to effectively communicate orally/written at all levels of the organizationAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to handle multiple assignmentsPE License in the Commonwealth of Virginia is desiredExperience with design software tools including MicroStation and OpenRoads is preferredKnowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is requiredBenefits:WRA recognizes that employees play an important role in its success.
