Roasting Operator at Cameron s Coffee and Distribution Co

ROASTING OPERATOR - 1st Shift (6:00am-2:00pm)

This position will meet Wholesale roasted coffee needs by working closely with Green Coffee and Production staff on a daily basis. This is a full-time position, working five days per week.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Roaster will be responsible for:

Fulfillment of daily coffee orders.

Perform routine roaster cleaning and maintenance

Assist with green coffee; inventory and floor counts, receiving, organizing and moving product; weighing and portioning for recipes

General organization of the roastery; cleaning and other duties as needed

Develop an understanding for Profile Roasting

Other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE/Qualifications

Roasting experience preferred, but not mandatory

Ability to use a profile roasting system

Concentration and focus while doing a repetitive job

Ability to listen, learn and act accordingly

Willingness to learn from mistakes to grow and enhance skills

Ability to manage and prioritize daily and weekly tasks

Demonstrated problem solving skills

Basic technical aptitude and/or willingness to learn equipment details

SKILLS NEEDED

Proficiency in both spoken and written English.

Basic math skills.

Strong interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills.

Ability to lift, push, pull, and or manipulate 75 pounds. Weight greater than 50 pounds will be mitigated with a lifting partner or device.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Typical production work environment. Not climate controlled. PPE provided. The noise level is high.

Roasting machines and the environment in which roasting happens can get warm. Proper dress should be considered.

The position will be five days per week and while each work week will comprise of two consecutive days off, required workdays may fall on a weekend.

Pre-employment drug test and criminal background check is required prior to employment.

Compensation details: 21-21 Yearly Salary
